Frequencies

Frequency references how often data is released.

Data releases are not always in alignment with data collection. Many surveys collect data ongoing but data is packaged and released at multiple touchpoints such as yearly/annually as well as rolled up with additional years to show data in 3 or 5 year blocks.

Annual

Released every year.

Quarterly

Released 4 times a year.

Monthly

Released every month.

Quinquennial

Released every five years.

Decenial

Released every ten years.

Other

Biennial

Every other year.

Biannual

Twice a year.

Triennial

Every 3 years.

Quadrennial

Every 4 years.

As needed

Programs will conduct surveys as they are asked, or budget allows.

Every 2-3 years

Some surveys are/will be conducted within a range, for example, every 2-3 years.

Singular Survey

A survey that was released one time.
